My weekend was a good one

I'm really not very good at keeping up with this on a daily basis am I? I guess my whole thing is that I never feel that I have anything really important to say.

So, it's been a good weekend. Michael had ball practice on Friday. Then Friday night we took my friend Ada out for her birthday. We, uh, had a good time. Heheheehehehe. My family reads this blog so I won't go into too many details. It was good though.

Last evening we made the 2 hour trip to Houlton to see Jeff Dunham and the show was well worth the drive:

Just another quick one

Not much going on this lovely Friday evening. I'm just sitting here going through things a little at a time trying to sort through what is junk and what needs to be saved. *sigh* It is a never ending battle around here.

Michael has to try out for baseball this year. I'm extremely worried that he isn't going to make it. For the past two years he has just been placed on the team because he has done Farm League and then Minor League. Due to my own absent-mindness however, I missed registration for Minor League this year so the only way Michael will be able to play is if he trys-out for Little League and makes it. If he doesn't make it, I know it is going to be heart-breaking for him as he loves to play baseball. So, keep your fingers crossed.

And while you are crossing your fingers for Michael, maybe fold your hands in prayer for my Buppie. He has started his battle and it isn't going to be an easy one, so we could use some prayers.

Faith. Hope. Love.

I was not meant to be....

So, I'm super excited!! I have lost my .2 pounds that I needed to get to my 10% goal. And then some. Weigh in today brought me a loss of 1.2 pounds bringing my total weight loss to 19 exact pounds! I'm very happy with myself! Clothes are getting better and I am just feeling better about myself in general.

These are from the other day when it was super nice out....Jason really enjoys being outside. I can tell he is going to have lots of fun this summer...

Progress that you can see...

So, this is me at Christmas time:

Here I am just a few days ago:

Here is the most important thing though;

What's so important about it? Those jeans....are a size 8!

Yeah, you read right. A size 8! Now, I don't know if is that particular brand of jean, but they are an 8. Pretty proud.

That's all I have for tonight. I may scrapbook some more tonight though..

Got to get better at keeping up with this

I really need to back to writing in here everyday. Sometimes I just feel as though I have nothing to say.

Let's see. I had weigh in yesterday and I lost the 1.2 pounds that I had gained last week, so that put me once again .2 pounds away from being at my 10% goal. Boo! I should get there next week though.

Then last night I was completely bored and my internet wasn't working, so I thought to myself, "Self, what a perfectly good night to do some scrapbooking." So, I reached into my little Mojo Jar and pulled out 'Do a 'Like Father, Like Son' type of page'

So then I got to thinking, what pictures could I use to do a "Like Father, Like SonS" type of page. This is what I came up with:

And then for good measure I did this page as well from when Jason was born:

I went to the gym and worked out today and then I had to go to a wake tonight for my buddy Matthew LaCrosse. He was the young man who went missing back in November and they just found him in March washed up on a river bank in Prospect. :-(

No real plans for tomorrow, except Girl Scouts is doing a Princess Party and Summer's friend Chloe is spending the night!

Peace and Love

Some days you just don't feel like being seen

So I was minding my own business on the internet when I heard Jason giggle on the floor...this is what I saw when I looked over...

Speaking Words Of Wisdom...

I Believe

> I believe - That just because two people argue, it doesn’t mean they don’t love each other. And just because they don’t argue, it doesn’t mean they do.

> I believe - That we don’t have to change friends if we understand that
friends change.

> I believe - That no matter how good a friend is, they’re going to hurt
you every once in a while and you must forgive them for that.

> I believe - That true friendship continues to grow, even over the
longest distance. Same goes for true love.

> I believe - That you can do something in an instant that will give you
heartache for life.

> I believe - That it’s taking me a long time to become the person I want to be.

> I believe - That you should always leave loved ones with loving words. It may be the last time you see them.

> I believe - That you can keep going long after you think you can’t.

> I believe - That we are responsible for what we do, no matter how we
feel.

> I believe - That either you control your attitude or it controls you.

> I believe - That heroes are the people who do what has to be done when it needs to be done, regardless of the consequences.

> I believe - That sometimes the people you expect to kick you when
you’re down will be the ones to help you get back up.

> I believe - That sometimes when I’m angry I have the right to be angry, but that doesn’t give me the right to be cruel.

> I believe - That maturity has more to do with what types of experiences you’ve had and what you’ve learned from them and less to do with how many birthdays you’ve celebrated.

> I believe - That it isn’t always enough to be forgiven by others.
Sometimes you have to learn to forgive yourself.

> I believe - That no matter how bad your heart is broken, the world
doesn’t stop for your grief.

> I believe - That our background and circumstances may have influenced who we are, but we are responsible for who we become.

> I believe - Two people can look at the exact same thing and see
something totally different

> I believe - That your life can be changed in a matter of hours by
people who don’t even know you.

> I believe - That even when you think you have no more to give, when a friend cries out to you - you will find the strength to help.

> I believe - That credentials on the wall do not make you a decent human being.

> I believe - That the people you care about most in life are taken from
you too soon.

> I believe - That you should send this to all of the people that you
believe in. The happiest people don’t necessarily have the
best of everything; they just make the best of everything they have.

Never make someone your priority when all you are to them is an option.

And I know; there's something beautiful within my grasp
And I know; I think I'm satisfied, but it won't last
And I know; To lace my boots up and pick my path.
I'll find another rainstorm to fill my glass.
